March 2019 Newsletter

We hope this helps you stay connected! Here's what's going on in March.

March 8th World Champion Abby Knapp will be teaching a Seminar on the Oar, at the Yakima Valley Community College as a precursor to the Morris Mack Open on March 9th. Both events are an excellent opportunity for beginners and advanced students alike to expose themselves to a new aspect of karate training. More details can be found at the front desk and on the announcement wall.

This Thursday, march 7th, is the due date for testing registrations. You may register by filling out the form at the front desk or on our website. Registrations filled out after this date will be in the second round of belt orders, completed after the test. we know that there is lots to keep track of during this season at the dojo, so be sure to pick up a testing week schedule in the main lobby as well.

Each quarter we host a special event, Karate Olympics, filled with fun extra-curricular karate activities, typically in a competition format. This quarter we will be hosting that event from 6-7, but from 7-8 we will be hosting a BLACK BELT Q&A hour! That means all our students, any age, any rank, can come and ask our panel of black belts any karate question they'd like.

We have two major opportunities this month to introduce your friends to karate this month, karate 101, on March 11th and Buddy Week March 25th-28th. Invite cards are available at the front desk. Talk to Sensei Logan for more information.

March 23rd we are having a dojo work party! This party is being lead by two of our young Dream Team Members, Aven Johnson and Luke Conboy. They will be visiting classes and sharing what this event is all about.

Nerf Gun Battle, March 29th! all ages welcome. Bring a friend! more details available in the lobby. RSVP required.

March 30th we would love to get together with the 18+ crowd for a night of bowling! parent or student, you are invited. Talk to sensei Logan for more details.
