"When we started karate we were just trying to engage in a semi-social, physical activity. Little did we know that we would find a community that would help my children develop patience, diligence, focus, dedication, determination, courage, and a work ethic. My kids have found a home with TMAA where there are accepted for who they are and are trained to be better people and developed into leaders. Our family has been forever changed for the better as a direct result of our involvement with karate at TMAA."
At TMAA our community helps students of all ages set and achieve goals. Our classes are built to encourage self-discipline, confidence, physical fitness, respect, and positive relationships. We are committed to creating a welcoming, non-intimidating atmosphere for you to sample our school and its programs. We call it Karate 101. You can expect:
- traditional karate and how it translates to self defense
- a workout based on your personal fitness level
- commonly used Japanese practices/traditions in our classes
- an introduction to the character & core philosophy of our dojo
